In a landmark collaboration to champion small business success, the National Enterprise Network (NEN) has partnered with Start and Grow UK to offer expanded support for entrepreneurs across the UK.
This alliance comes at a pivotal moment: Startups data reveals that 89,515 new businesses launched in Q1 2025—a 2.8% year-on-year rise. With small enterprises comprising 99% of all UK businesses, the partnership is poised to deliver vital resources, mentoring, and opportunities to this thriving but underserved segment of the economy.
“We are delighted to announce this strategic partnership between National Enterprise Network and Start and Grow UK. By combining our expertise and resources, we can provide enhanced support to entrepreneurs and small businesses across the country, helping them to start, grow and thrive in today’s dynamic business environment,” said Alex Till, Chairman of National Enterprise Network.
David Seall, Chair of Start and Grow UK added, “This collaboration, and the synergies of the two organisations will provide much needed and proven high quality support to start-ups, micro-businesses and SMEs across the country regardless of their location”.
The timing of this partnership is particularly relevant as nearly half of UK adults(47%) are considering launching a business or side hustle in 2025. This growing entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with the significant increase in business registrations over the past year, underscores the importance of providing comprehensive support to new and growing enterprises.
The partnership will focus on delivering enhanced business support services, including mentoring programmes, access to funding opportunities, and specialised training workshops, with particular emphasis on summer business growth strategies and sustainable business practices.
