Tide, the UK’s leading business management platform, is set to launch Tide Insurance for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The new service will allow members to access tailored business insurance directly through the Tide app, helping to reduce admin, save time and narrow the protection gap faced by many UK small firms. The initial products will be delivered in partnership with Admiral Business.
Tide already serves more than 14% of all UK SMBs, making it the country’s largest business management platform.
The introduction of Tide Insurance marks a significant step forward in Tide’s mission to streamline business management by connecting essential services — from banking and invoicing to payroll and now insurance — all within a single platform.
Underinsurance remains a persistent issue for small businesses, leaving many exposed to unexpected costs and operational risk. Tide Insurance aims to address this by embedding protection directly into the platform that businesses already use every day.
Using key information held within the Tide app — such as turnover, industry and employee numbers — the service can pre-populate details to simplify the customer journey, removing repetitive data entry and speeding up the process of securing cover.
Admiral Business has been chosen as Tide’s first insurance partner, reflecting its established expertise in the UK market. Three core covers will be available at launch: Employers’ Liability, Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance.
