Kyocera further expands product portfolio with launch of ECOSYS MA6000 series mono multifunction printers

New devices are carbon-neutral as standard and offer comprehensive security features, faster document processing and very low running costs.

Kyocera Document Solutions UK has further expanded its device portfolio with the launch of the ECOSYS MA6000 mono MFP series. These are the latest Kyocera devices to be delivered carbon-neutral as standard, while offering a wide range of improved print and security features.

The ECOSYS MA6000 range is designed for demanding departments and busy work groups. There are six models including 3-in-1 (print, copy and scan) and 4-in-1 (print, copy, scan and fax) devices with a choice of print speeds of 45, 55 or 60 pages per minute. These new MFPs deliver class-leading low running costs, helping users streamline print expenditure.

Selected models in the series also come with Kyocera’s HyPASTM software development platform, which enables easy device integration into print management software such as PaperCut and MyQ, routing everything into an efficient digital workflow that can be easily operated via the MFPs’ touch-screen panel.

Underpinning every printer in the range is Kyocera’s K-Level suite of security features. These include SIEM threat detection, access control, device encryption, auto certificate management and trusted platform module authentication software. These are the same features incorporated into Kyocera’s high-end TASKalfa 3554ci series, which was awarded the BLI Security Validation seal for Device Penetration by Keypoint Intelligence.

As with the PA6000x series printers launched last month, Kyocera will offset the carbon of every MA6000 device sold plus the consumables they use over their standard rated lifetime (5 years). This covers every aspect of manufacturing, packaging and transportation and is achieved through Kyocera’s partnership with MyClimate, a leading provider of carbon offsetting consulting. Kyocera close the loop with their eco-conscious toner and device recycling programmes. Further, customers can register for a carbon neutral certificate as a tangible representation of their sustainability credentials.

Martin Fairman, Group Sales & Marketing Director at Kyocera UK, said: “The last couple of months have been a busy period for new product launches at Kyocera, all of which are designed with our channel partners and end users very much in mind. The launch of the MA6000 series is a clear demonstration of our ongoing momentum, both in terms of our commitment to refining our product portfolio, and our passion for sustainable business practices.”

The MA6000 devices are part of Kyocera’s ECOSYS series, standing for Ecology, Economy, and Systems. The products are energy-efficient and include long-life ceramic drums which help deliver a very low total cost of ownership (TCO) and use as little as 0.5W of power in Sleep Mode. A wireless interface option is available together with mobile print support for customers using Wi-Fi printing.

Fairman concluded: “We look forward to seeing our customers make the most of the MA6000 series. We’re particularly pleased to be able to offer a product that balances the needs of demanding print users with carbon-neutral credentials and believe customers will appreciate this too.”
