As demand for performing arts education reaches new heights, Trafalgar Education is stepping up its marketing efforts to better serve its expanding franchise network. Home to two of the UK’s leading performing arts brands, Stagecoach Performing Arts and Drama Kids, the group has significantly grown its marketing team this year to keep pace with a highly competitive market.
By adding four new team members, Trafalgar Education is enhancing its ability to support over 300 franchise locations worldwide. This strategic expansion not only strengthens marketing capabilities but also underscores the company’s dedication to fostering young talent—both onstage and behind the scenes.
A key part of this investment is the introduction of two apprentices, offering valuable opportunities for aspiring marketers to get a foot on the career ladder. For 22-year-old Content Marketing Administrative Apprentice Ella Hammond, the role has been the perfect blend of her lifelong passion for performing arts and her desire to build a career in marketing.
“I’ve been involved in dance for 16 years, from jazz and tap to ballet and contemporary,” said Ella. “But after an injury meant I couldn’t pursue performing professionally, I found my way into marketing. When the apprenticeship at Trafalgar came up, it felt like the perfect fit – blending my love of the arts with my career goals. The team here is so supportive, and every day is a new learning opportunity.”
Also new to the team this year is 23-year-old Marketing Executive Ingrid Ho, whose background in film and events marketing has found a natural home in the performing arts industry. “Though I don’t have performing arts experience myself, I grew up watching musicals with my dad and even wrote a dissertation on musical films,” explained Ingrid. “Trafalgar has been a fantastic place to build on that passion while developing my marketing career. Since starting in April, I’ve learned so much – not just about digital marketing channels but also about franchising, which was completely new to me.”
Ingrid focuses on B2B marketing and franchisee communications, supporting Stagecoach and Drama Kids’ global network with tailored advice and practical resources. “I get to help franchisees with their marketing requests and get involved with bigger projects. Working for such a large company with over 300 franchisees all across the world means there’s always something new to discover. I love how this role has opened my eyes to just how big the franchising world is – it’s really exciting.”
Ella’s role, meanwhile, sees her working on content creation and social media – often getting out to visit schools to capture engaging content. “Some days we’re out filming, like we were recently in Putney, other days are more about supporting the team in the office. No two days are ever the same, which keeps it interesting.”
For Trafalgar Education, this team growth represents a long-term investment in the next generation of marketing professionals. “We’ve always been about giving young people the chance to realise their potential, whether they’re growing in confidence on stage or in the working world,” said Georgia Pridden, Content Marketing Manager. “By creating meaningful opportunities for early-career professionals, we’re strengthening our marketing efforts and helping to develop the next generation of talent. It’s incredibly rewarding to see people like Ella and Ingrid thrive and grow within the team.”
