Ignite Your Spirit at the Resurgence of Burning Woman Festival: A Three-Day Journey of Connection and Empowerment

Rediscover your inner essence and embrace the power of sisterhood at the highly anticipated return of Burning Woman Festival in 2023. Prepare yourself for three transformative days from 21st to 23rd July, where women of all ages will gather at the enchanting Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire, marking the festival’s triumphant third edition.

Exclusively tailored for women, this extraordinary festival offers a myriad of liberating workshops, enlightening talks, and captivating experiences that will invigorate your soul. Immerse yourself in a bustling marketplace adorned with magical trade stands, where you can mingle, shop, and connect with healers, readers, and coaches, all while reveling in uplifting performances.

Olivia Beardsmore, the visionary creator of Burning Woman, shares her profound vision, stating, “I wanted to curate a beautiful sanctuary where women could unwind, rejuvenate, celebrate, connect, flourish, transform, and reclaim their time for themselves. A sacred space where sisterhood thrives, providing a safe haven for women to embrace their true radiance. With each passing year, the festival evolves, and the energy we generate is indescribable.”

Olivia, a seasoned professional in the PR and events industry, has a remarkable background that includes founding and managing the Bushcraft & Survival Skills Magazine and The Bushcraft Show. She is also a published author, a fire-walking instructor, and an empowerment coach at Firebird Firewalks. Olivia has led massive firewalks of over 300 women during the past two Burning Woman Festivals.

Firewalking is just one of the many empowering experiences awaiting you at Burning Woman. With over 150 workshops, the majority of which are free, attendees can explore creative writing, painting, dancing, vision-boarding, breathwork, sound healing, shibari, and tea ceremonies. Among the program’s highlights are Kate Lambert’s thought-provoking talk on “How female pleasure will save the world,” Velvet Burlesque’s “Release your inner glamazon” burlesque workshop, “The Play Portal” led by Bec Fowler & Shelley Sophia, which delves into the transformative power of play as medicine for the body, mind, and soul, and Adele Wimsett’s “Know your Flow,” illuminating the potential of harnessing the power of the menstrual cycle.

Throughout the weekend, a captivating lineup of musicians, poets, and dancers, exclusively composed of women, will grace the stage. The climax arrives on Saturday night with two exceptional headlining performances: Irish Cabaret and Performance Artists Growler and the Wild Geeze, fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe, and the iconic choral and folk music sensations, the Mediaeval Baebes. Following the performances, festival-goers will dance the night away at the Neon Goddess Rave.

Burning Woman offers an all-encompassing experience catering to every woman’s desires. Enjoy serene woodland walks, indulge in paddleboarding and swimming in the picturesque lake, invigorate your senses with an ice bath, kickstart your day with morning dance and yoga sessions, and even participate in boxing classes.

“We are thrilled to have Belvoir Castle as the breathtaking backdrop for this year’s festival, providing ample space for our extraordinary activities. The land exudes potent magic and history, which we will undoubtedly tap into throughout the weekend,” expresses Olivia.

Burning Woman takes pride in being an alcohol-free festival, enabling participants to fully immerse themselves in the profound connection with nature, healing, personal growth, and joyful play.

Shannon Connolly, an attendee of the previous two festivals, shares her life-changing experience, “Burning Woman transformed my life. I arrived alone and left with countless cherished friendships. I have never felt so safe, seen, and connected with a community of women. I laughed, cried, danced, sang, and experienced an unparalleled sense of freedom and vitality!”

Guests of Burning Woman have the option to camp on-site, with five designated camping areas available: Accessible camping, Glamping, Quiet camping, General camping, and Caravan & Campervan camping. Alternatively, visitors can choose to stay off-site and visit daily to relish in this phenomenal weekend. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome to join the festivities.
