The UK’s Most Popular Caravan Parks Revealed

Boris Johnson’s slow exit strategy out of lockdown has brought a positive impact for the UK staycation loves, being able to enjoy a new form of reality within caravan and camping parks.

Also, rules around mixing households have been relaxed, which has allowed friends and family to reunite for the first time. This has given brits the perfect excuse to book a caravan or camping spot to catch up on long-forgotten tales.

Considering this, Flogas Britain has investigated what the most popular caravan sites are in the eyes of Brits by utilising Google search data between January 2019 and April 2021.

The most searched for caravan sites

Looking at the search data around caravan sites in Britain, the most popular caravan park is the Riverside Park in Scotland, which received an average search volume 6,600 per month.

In second place is Haven’s,Weymouth Bay Holiday Park with 4,400 searches on average. Situated in Dorset, the park is one of 37 Haven sites dotted around the Great British coastline and is ideally placed at one the country’s most recognisable seaside destinations.

With 3,600 searches, it’s Parkdean Resorts’ Whitley Bay Holiday Park, which like Weymouth Bay, boasts a short walk to the nearest beach and enough family entertainment to keep everyone happy.

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement, bookings for parks has increased fivefold, so these popular sites are no doubt experiencing the staycation booking boom themselves.
